Magnets are a bit weaker than I was hoping for

These bookends have a thin magnetic pad on the bottom, which is glued there with some type of adhesive. The units are functional, but the magnetism of the pads leaves something to be desired. I was hoping for something a bit stronger.

Basic bookends

These are more economical options as compared to the other bookends I bought (and also reviewed). Not as sturdy, but fine for lighter loads of folders.

Sturday Bookends

Although these bookends have magnetic bottoms, I bought them for their sturdy metal construction. At 7 inches tall, they perform well for heavy books up to about 12 inches tall. For "oversized" books, I'd opt for taller bookends.
