Construction is fine, but ugly veneer

Sometimes you get what you pay for; sometimes you get less. This is not an authentic Eames plywood table and I bought it definitely knowing that. But for a product costing hundreds of dollars, I still had hope that it would look a bit better than it does. The walnut veneer is SO dark and the woodgrain pattern is overwhelming. When I unboxed it, the first image that popped into my mind was fake-wooden contact paper my parents used to line their shelves with. Brown. The table's veneer seems to be of OK quality, though. I'm not implying it's cheap; it's just not pretty.

The design and molding of the table is just fine. It's a nice weight, decent proportions, and the legs fit together perfectly. But look very closely at the pictures provided in the item description and just know that it looks a bit "cheaper" in real life.

Sometimes reproductions do get very close to their inspirations, but not this time.

The perfect minimalist coffee table!

This coffee table looks great for a modern/minimalist look. It's also very light and easy to assemble. It's held up nicely over the past year that I've owned it and suspect that it will last a very long time. If you're looking for a minimalist coffee table with a nice classic (Eames-esque) design then look no further!

Great Buy

This item is "as Advertised' for a much cheaper price than the original. Couldn't be happier, now if I could just keep the kids feet off of it.
